Betty Jo Hollie was born February 3,1958, to Kathleen Myrtle Hollie. Her friends and family often called her Jo-Jo. She attended Shakespeare Elementary School and Martin Luther King High School.
Betty accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Faith Tabernacle Church of God In Christ on June 27,1966. Betty carried a love for music. As a youth she was a dedicated member of Mother Helen Patterson's Singing Group and they traveled all over the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs singing gospel medleys.
Betty always had an entrepreneurial spirit and was passionate regarding the various businesses she started up. Betty loved all her family and friends and would do anything within her power to help them. She was also protective of her family and friends, especially her daughter, Sandra Jaime.
Betty leaves in loving memory her daughter, Sandra Jaime (Ruben), her partner, Melvin Willis, 3 surviving sisters, Annie Hollie, Barbara Coursey, and Diane Hollie, 1 surviving brother, Christopher Hollie. Late brothers, Kenneth James Hollie, and Roy Calvin Hollie. Her Mother, Kathleen Myrtle Hollie preceded her in death. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
