Life’s Reflection

Charles Rozzano Lenox was born in Chicago, IL on May 26, 1970 to Charles Boyd and Shirley Lenox Boyd.

Charles accepted Christ at an early age. Charles loved the Lord with all his might. Throughout his entire sickness, Charles never said “Why me” or complained. Charles trusted God, throughout his battle with cancer.

Charles completed 8 years of Grade School at Michael Faraday, graduated from John Marshall H.S and returned and completed his studies at Prairie State College, Class of 2010. On December 5, 1988 Charles enlisted into the U.S. Army where he served as a Combat Engineer (“River Rats 4ever”) in Ft. Hood, TX until March 16, 2004.

Charles worked as a laborer, EMT, Fire Fighter and an Industrial Engineer at Economy Metal all in Houston, TX. Charles relocated back to Matteson, IL and resided with his sister and brother-in-law Angela and Lonnie Pearson until the Lord called him to take his rest and departed this Life at 12:42a.m. October 12, 2021.

Charles leaves to cherish his precious memory and legacy, his father, Charles Boyd (Deborah). Three daughters, Bretagne, Chatianna and Charlize, 6 sons Charles, Marcus, Christon, Cameron, Tyrese and Chrishaun. Three sisters, Angela Pearson (Lonnie) Chicago, IL; Regina Lenox, Charleston, IL; and Tammie Hudson, Charleston, IL. Two brothers, Wayne A. Lenox (Sudonna) Carbondale, IL and Derrick Lenox, Memphis, TN. 5 granddaughters; Kaila, Gianna, Naomi, Nylani and Imani. 3 grandsons; Marcus, Jr., Vincent, and Jahlani. Spiritual counselor, Evangelist Stephanie “Apple” Saunders Maxwell, A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
