Dora E. Gordon Reynolds Crawhorn was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on May 5, 1934 and was one of 15 children of the late John Henry Gordon and Lois Ruth Gordon. She passed away on January 4, 2017 at Gary Methodist North Lake Hospital in Gary, IN.

She was preceded in death by her beloved Paul ; siblings, Niles Gordon, Lewis Gordon, Walter Gordon, Pearl Arrowood, Henry C. Gordon, Sr. and Frances Gordon; children, Dennis Reynolds and Julie Burton, grandchildren Andrew J. Zenner and James Burton, great-grandchildren Andrew Robinson and Alexis Butler.

She is survived by her siblings, Billy Ray Gordon, Wayne Gordon, Mildred Carmack, Gathie Sheehan, Ethel Rumfelt, Lydia Henderson, Ruby Scruggs and Rachel Brindle, her children Charles Reynolds and Andrea (Tony) Ulrich; her grandchildren Louetta (Charles) Stacy Clinton, Debbie (Jason) O'Brien, Nicole (Christopher) Butler, Devin Gordon, Charla (Aaron) Hammond, Catrenia (Jeremy) Robinson, Carol Daniels, John Zenner, Antoinette Ulrich and Timothy Burton; her 42 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Dora moved from Gaffney, South Carolina to Nottingham, IL where she raised her family and later on moving to Gary, IN to be closer to her extend family of children and grandchildren. She is known for her love of her beloved church family and Pastor Dan Willis at the Lighthouse Church of All Nation, where she was one of the few legacy members left in the now amazing 6000+ member church that her and 16 wonderful woman started with Pastor Dan. Where she has brought all her grandchildren and great grandchildren at least once in their life to sew the seed that will one day grow into the love of the Lord she had. You can’t talk about her without telling about her love for McDonald’s sausage biscuits, coloring, puzzles and her love for holding her great grandbabies her pride and joy.
