Welcome to the celebration of life for Elizabeth Hamilton Phillips. Elizabeth was born in Chicago, IL on March 15, 1958, to Delores Barnett (with the help and guidance of her stepfather) Willie E. Coleman (deceased).

Elizabeth, better known as Peaches, gave her life to the Lord at an early age. Peaches attended Parker High School where she studied Cosmetology and Home Economics. After High School, Peaches ventured into several fields of life; such as becoming a Mixologist and Manager around the City of Chicago. Elizabeth was a self-taught cook and baker. Family and friends would invite themselves over to “break bread, play Backgammon, shoot-pool and play chess” and laugh. Elizabeth (Peaches) was swept off her feet by the love of her life in 1995 by William Phillips William and Elizabeth were married for 23 years before he passed away in 2019. Elizabeth (Peaches) most prized possessions were her children and grandchildren who she loved dearly and would do anything for.

On January, 15th 2025 God opened his arms and called Peaches home to be with her Husband William Phillips.

Elizabeth (Peaches) was preceded by her loving husband of 23 years, (William), Elizabeth is survived by her loving daughters (Nicole) daughter (Anita Faye); son (Nelson) grandchildren; Derrick Jr. (Deceased), Anton (Deceased), Nelson, JuDon and 5 Great grandchildren. Sisters (Kathy, Rochelle, Cynthia, Debra, Brother (Tyrone-Preceded in death), a special Brother-in-law (Elgin) preceded in death and a host of friends and family.

To my children please don’t mourn for me. I have lived my best life with you at my side. I gave you the tools of life so that you would be prepared for this moment. Watch over each other as I know you will. life so that you would be prepared for this moment. Watch over each other as I know you will.


Grandsons Poem

Wassup Gma? This is so hard writing, but I guess it has to be written. I love you so much. I just wanted to tell you & thank you for always being by my side, especially; when I felt the world was against me. Even when I was running wild - you still had my back. “Right, Wrong or Indifferent.” Grandma, “I love you so much!”
