Obituary
FREDDIE MODEAN SAMPSON was born in Starkville Mississippi on August 3, 1932 to her proud parents Mary Johnson and Fred Outlaw, who preceded her in death. She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Starksville, Mississippi. Freddie was united in Holy Matrimony to James Roy Davis and to this union one child was born, Virginia Ayesha (Mae) Haadee. Freddie and James relocated to Maywood, Illinois, in late 1947 and years later he preceded her in death. Freddie reinstated her membership as one of the first two members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. T.H. Wade who was later followed by Rev. Marvin E. Wiley until her health failed. Her belief in Christ held steadfast and her last days were blessed with devoted daughter Virginia, niece/daughter Mamie along with her grandsons. In May of 1955 she was joined In Matrimony to Robert Sampson who preceded her in death in 2004.
Freddie depart this life on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at McNeal Hospital at 1:50 p.m. She leaves to mourn her and celebrate her home going her daughter Virginia A. Haadee from Maywood, Illinois along with her special niece/daughter Mamie I. Pratt (Kevin) from Bellwood, Illinois, four grandchildren Robert D. Rice (Kristie); Shaheed Haadee, Rafee-a A. Smith and Hassan J. Ragland.
Also surviving Freddie are seven great grandchildren: Aja L. Rice, Jaren J. Rice, Justin A. Rice, Jeremy N. Smith, Amber Wilson, Haley, Lexie. Sixteen nieces and nephews: Marsha, Martha, Virginia, Joyce, Tonoral, Debra, John Thomas, M.L, Freddie, Dorothy, Rose Mary, Jeanette, Bobbie, James Edward, Curtis, Ronald and Valarie J. McCall. Twenty-eight grandnieces and nephews and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
