Fritzi June Mitchell was born December 20, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Charles James Mitchell and Louise Mitchell who preceded her in death. She married Orlando Jones June 10, 2002. She was baptized as a young girl. She and Orlando are members of the Lighthouse Church of All Nations where they served on the Dining Room Ministry. Over the years she was always active in the church. At her former church, St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church she served as the Director of the Children’s Choir and sang in the Adult Choir.
Everyone that knew her remembers her supportive, generous and nurturing character. Her husband, Orlando describes her as an individual who was “selfless”. She purposed her life in helping others through her career as an EKG Technician, and Elementary School Administrator. When she retired, she volunteered for numerous years at local area hospitals. She was a quiet ‘servant leader’. She did not like the limelight, but rather as she would say, “Keep it Moving.”
While she will be missed, it is to the glory of God that she is in HIS presence. Her life is remembered as a woman who truly modeled her life following HIS word. We celebrate her life and thank God for her obedience and sacrifice to set the bar for a woman of faith.
