Jack Dohrn Burdette

March 26, 1972 — June 13, 2023

Jack Dorhn Burdette, 51, was born to Joyce Latimore Burdette and Baxter T. Burdette in Chicago, Illinois on March 26, 1972.  Jack departed this earthly realm on June 13, 2023.

Jack met his high school sweetheart, Dalena Ingram, in 1989.  To this union was born his daughter, Dajae Joy Burdette (DJ).  DJ was born on March 10, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois.  His only child, his twin inside and out, his heartbeat.

Jack was the oldest of three children.  His brother Dax whom he loved, jammed with, schooled on every new adventure he explored and of whom he was proud.  And his sister Alice, his little big sister whom he loved, listened to, and who enjoyed working his last nerve.

Jack accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago.  He was a man full of faith; humble, silly, loving, giving and blessed, always giving praises to the Most High God.

Jack graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1991.  He went on to further his education in many different fields, receiving several certifications.  He was currently enrolled in carpentry school.  Jack was most proud of his years of service in the Army.  He proudly served his country from November 16, 2004 to November 17, 2009.  He will be remembered as an entrepreneur, a businessman, a loving father, a big brother to more than those in his bloodline, an uncle who could never say no, a nephew full of wisdom and a ride or die to many, many, many friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his mother (Joyce Latimore Burdette), his father (Baxter T. Burdette), his grandmother (Lee Eddie Glenn), his grandfather (Clarence Latimore, Senior), and his uncle (Clarence Latimore, Junior).

Jack leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter Dajae Joy Burdette, brother Dax Burdette (Michele), sister Alice Burdette, nephew DaQuan Dochee, niece Anaiah Dochee, cousins Clarence Latimore Akons, Darryl Dickson (Gina), DeMarr King (Ashley), Donna Story and a host of other cousins, aunties, and uncles.  Not to mention countless special friends like Wilbert (aka Cool), Anthony (aka Neckbone), Derek (aka Dusty), Nicole (aka Nikki), and many, many more.  Lord knows if you knew Jack, you loved Jack and he made you feel like you were the most important person in his life.  We will miss you Jack (aka JB)!
