Pastor Satese Jeane Guynn was born on June 17, 1982 to Soyraya L. Benifield and Raymond Dockery Jr
. Satese joined Mt. Carmel M. B. Church at an early age where she confessed her life to Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Byron E. Whitehead. Satese later joined Lighthouse Church of All Nations where she rededicated her life under the leadership of Pastor Dan Willis. Under his tutelage, Satese went to ANLI where she received ordinations for both Eldership and Pastoralship.
Satese attended Oliver Wendell Holmes and Burnham Goldsmith Elementary Schools. While in Elementary school she joined several choirs and worked diligently sharing Christ with nearly anyone she came in contact with. Her love for God was evident but she also maintained an affinity for barbering. She went on to attend Percy L. Julian High School.
Satese was indeed a "Jill" of all trades. Whether it was teaching in any of the several schools she worked, blessing people with her healing hands, preserving the church with Temple care or her personal ministry 'Happy Therapy'; she did it all with excellence. While she was definitely diversely talented, her crown jewel was mastering one: cutting hair. Family, friends, and strangers alike were blessed with her passion to not just give you an average cut.
Satese's talent with the clippers helped her garner 2nd place in the "All Female Amateur Barber Competition." Her patented 'Tesa Cuts' anointed people all the way from Albuquerque to Atlanta.
Satese went on to graduate from Larry's Barber College in September of 2019, fulfilling her life long dream of becoming a licensed Master Barber.
Satese's greatest love was her unwavering dedication to ministry by serving God and others. She not only read and taught the word of God, she lived it! Whether it was coming to the bedside of a family member, going to help a church member, praying for those in need and those who didn't know they needed it; those who met or knew her watched God use her on countless occasions. One of her biggest accomplishments was starting the 'Happy Therapy' Ministry which uplifted and encouraged many young women through godly counsel, prayer, praise, fellowship and fun.
Satese was joined in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life Jason Guynn on Aug. 30, 2013. Second only to God her greatest moments were spent blossoming in love with her husband.
Satese cherished spending time with her family and friends. There was no time at all where she would be called upon that she didn't show up with a word, encouragement, love and an unforgettable ability to pray heaven down to earth.
Satese radiated vitality and humor all while sporting any shade of her favorite color red.
Satese loved to laugh, travel, and take pictures. Often called the family photographer, she literally would take thousands of pictures because she knew the value of capturing the moment!
Satese graduated to her heavenly assignment on October 1, 2020. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Claudette & Raymond Dockery Sr, & Edward W. Benifield Sr., her uncle Hernandez Dockery and her brother Maurice Whiting.
