Reflections of Renee

Renee O Jones was born November 17, 1956, in Chicago IL from the union Otis and Ora Jones who preceded her in death.

Renee was the fourth child of five children. She attended James Madison Elementary School and graduated from Emil G. Hirsch Metropolitan High School in June of 1974 in Chicago IL. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was Baptized at Saint Phillip Neri Church. She was a bartender for over 20 years. She was known for her delicious cooking and for being Queen of the Carefree Curl on the Southside of Chicago. Most of all she was a great bartender, and everyone loved her.

Renee was a caring, giving, and loving woman. Wherever she went she was not a stranger. Her smile was contagious, and laugh was infectious. She was a mother to all and everyone’s best friend. The person everyone would call about any and everything. She was the secret catcher. You can tell her anything and she wouldn’t tell nobody. Her grandchildren were her world. She was a loving sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and so much more. The sweetest and most genuine person you would ever know.

Renee was preceded in death by her sister Gwendolyn Brooks.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters Jennifer, Keeuna, and Kayla, three sons Chris, Derek, and Matthew nineteen grandchildren David, Devan, Joshua, Ashanti, Christianna, Kendall, Nicole, Miles, Christopher Jr., Caleb, Ethan, Makayla, Mykah, Trinis, Matianna, Serenity, Lundyn, Mattilisa, and Maddox, three sisters Janet, Cathy, Twona and brother Byron (Natasha) four nieces Ericka, Tiana, Kenya, and Brielle, nephews, family, and friends.
