Rosemary Cheatham-Hastings

August 16, 1953 — November 9, 2016

Rosemary Cheatham (Rosie) was born August 16,1953 to the union of Joseph Hastings and Myrtle Lee Hastings who both proceeded her in death. Rosie was the oldest child to this union. When her mother passed she took over the role of parent to all of her siblings who she loved so dearly.

Rosie attended Carter G. Woodson grammar school as well Forestville High School both in Chicago, IL

Rosie knew God and accepted the Lord as her Savior. She had Faith that was unwavering. To know Rosie was to love her, she will give you her last and would never ask for anything in return. She had a heart of love, peace and service. When she loved you - you knew it. She never judged - just loved.

Cooking was Rosie's passion and she was good at it. She LOVED feeding people. Everyone would wonder and even ask her why is her food so good, her response would be "Because I made it with love"

Rosie will leave so many to mourn in her absence, left to cherish her memory is her children whom she devoted her life to Kenneth (Antoinette) Tasha (who proceeded her in death) Robert and Antoinette. Her grandchildren: Cequena, KJ, Jazzmine,Tierra, Jaden and Jakobi, and Benny Jr (great grandson) Her siblings: Gregory, Gary (who proceeded her in death) Pamela, Sheila, Brooks, Denise (who proceeded her in death) Sherri and Krystal

Rosie has many nieces, nephews, honorary children, grandchildren alike. Please know that she loved you all with her heart and soul.
