Rudy's Life Story

Rudy Smithwas born July 21, 1945. He was the oldest child born to Mattie and the late Eddie Smith.Rudy rsceived his early education from Blessed Sacrament, Corkery and Farragut High School graduating in June 1972.

After High School Rudy married the loveof his life, Delois..... to this union, two sons were born oldest son Maurice (preceded him in death) youngest son Ivan. Rudy was gifted in many fields. Whenever someone needed help in anything Rudy was the one to call. He worked on cars, electricity; and inside homes... he was knowledgeable in all sorts of handy man specialties. His most passionate job was the job that he obtained at CPS as a Custodian for over 20 years; he had a passion for keeping things in order. He could be found anywhere in the neighborhood cleaning up our community.

Rudy earned his nickname RED RASTA which totally fit his personality. Rudy is responsible for introducing the various types of music to all that came in contact with him.Everyone that met Rudy, also loved him, he was a stranger to no one.

Rudy leaves to cherish his many memories, his loving and devoted wife of 43 years Delois. His son Ivan, his two granddaughters Erin and Kamia. His Dear Mother Mattie Smith. Three sisters, Alcyon, Anita and Edie. Four brothers Kevin, Kelly, Brian and Jeffery. He also leaves 4 sister in laws. Helen (Fred), Constance (Terrell), Vanessa (Dewayne), Irene and a host of other relatives and friends.
